Biztalk Developer

This is an excellent opportunity for a BizTalk Developer who will be responsible for determining the level of effort to implement new development, enhancements, bug fixes and production updates so that estimates can be provided to the Project Manager. Will track and report Actuals vs. Estimates and escalate issues and revise as needed.

Will schedule and execute the design, implementation and unit test of new development, enhancements, bug fixes and production updates. Will distribute tasks to junior developers and monitor progress. Will document designs as needed while, troubleshooting production problems. Will initiate promotion of code to test, staging and production environments through firm’s change control process.

 

Will participate in the requirements process. Will assist in the creation and review of requirements artifacts such as use cases, UI prototypes, domain models, etc. Will contribute to creation, compliance, and mentoring IT development and change management processes and procedures. 


EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

 

At least 5 years experience in software development. Experience required with the following tools and/or technologies:

  • BizTalk 2004 and BizTalk 2006 - development, administration and installation 
  • XSLT 
  • Migration from BizTalk 2004 to BizTalk 2006 
  • .NET and web services 
  • ASP / JavaScript 
  • SQL Server 2003 or 2005
  • Windows 2003 Server 
  • Message queuing technologies such as EMQ or MQ Series 
  • Version control system such as StarTeam

 

EXPERIENCE WITH THE FOLLOWING TOOLS AND/OR TECHNOLOGIES ARE A PLUS:

  • Applications utilizing MISMO standards 
  • Java 1.4 & 1.5 
  • J2EE 
  • WebLogic platform (WL Server, WL Integration & WL Workshop) 
  • Apache Ant 
  • Eclipse RCP 
  • Swing 
  • JUnit 
  • SOAP 
  • XML, XML Schema and XQuery 
  • Oracle 
  • Must be available to travel
