Websphere Technical Consultant
This is an exciting new opportunity for a Technical Consultant to join a Core Technology practice as part of an ongoing commitment to WebSphere Business Integration (WBI) technologies.
You will have a minimum of 2 years commercial experience working with WebSphere Applications, primarily focused on Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Business Process Management (BPM) tools.
You will be working on helping to deliver key projects both directly with corporate customers, as well as, via a Tier-1 partnerships with multiple software vendors. This individual should have strong interpersonal skills as this will be a customer facing position. You should be a strong team player as you will be working as part of a team.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
As a WebSphere SOA/BPM Consultant, you will have experience in the following areas:
- Must have experience of Development with the WebSphere BPM/SOA suite - WebSphere Process Server v6 (WPS) including WebSphere Enterprise Service Bus (WESB), WebSphere Integration Developer v6 (WID) and WebSphere Message Broker v6 (WBIMB)
- Web Services enabling technologies such as XML, SOAP, BPEL, WSDL, UDDI
- Good experience of J2EE applications
- Any experience of WebSphere Message Broker (v5.x), WebSphere MQ (v5 & v6), MQ Workflow, WBI Monitor/Modeler (v6), WBI Adaptors, WebSphere Registry & Repository (WSRR) and/or WebSphere Business Services Fabric (previously Webify) would be an advantage
- Knowledge of multiple technologies - databases, middleware, COTS packages and Java
- Platforms: Unix, Windows - would be a plus to have iSeries &/or Linux
- Knowledge and experience of version migration would be an advantage
- A good understanding of Software Development Lifecycles
- Strong communication skills, including influencing skills
- Minimum 2-3 years experience in at least 2 WebSphere project lifecycles
- WebSphere Certifications beneficial
- Must be available to travel
